SUMMARY OF TROUBLESHOOTING FOR OVERHEATING
This watercraft controls the engine as follows, in the event overheatsIf the ECT sensor detect cooling water temperature above 85 'C (185 OF), the ECM will limit the engine speed to 3,000 rprn prevent engine damageIf the ECT sensor detects water temC perature above 95 (203 OF), the engine will shut off (failure code #47)If the MST switch detects the engine is overheating, the ECM will shut off the engine (failure code #46)If the WMT sensor detects above 93 (199 OF), the ECM will limit the engine speed to 2,500 rprn to prevent engine damage (failure code #58)If the EOT sensor detects engine oil temperature above 120 (248 OF), the ECM will limit the engine speed to 4,250 rprn to prevent engine damage (failure code #62)there are failure codes in the svstem, first diaa, nose the PGM-FI system (page 8-13)
