MAINTENANCE
ENGINE OIL
This watercraft's engine uses dry sumpFollow the following procedures to determine if the proper amount of oil is in the engine
LEVEL CHECK
BEFORE CHECKING THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL
Secure the watercraft on stand or trailer and keep it levelRemove the seats (page 3-5)Remove the oil filler capldipstick from the oil tank and wipe it cleanInsert the oil filler capdipstick until it seats, but do not screw it inRemove the dipstick and check the oil levelIf the oil appears on the dipstick, install the oil filler capldipstick and proceed to the following: LEVEL CHECK PROCEDURE ON SHORE (page 4-13)OIL LEVEL CHECK PROCEDURE ON CALM WATER (page 4-14) If there is no oil on the dipstick, install the oil filler captdipstick, and perform the following procedureRemove the engine dipstick from the oil drain pipe and wipe it cleanInsert the engine dipstickuntil it seats, but do not screw it inRemove the engine dipstick and check the oil levelIf oil appears on the dipstick, install the engine dipstick, and proceed the following:OIL LEVEL CHECK PROCEDURE ON SHORE (page 4-13)OIL LEVEL CHECK PROCEDURE ON CALM WATER (page 4-14) If there is no oil on the dipstick, do not start the engineReinstall the engine dipstick and tighten itRemove the oil filler captdipstick and add the recommended engine oil into the oil tank through the oil filler cap hole until oil is on the dipstickDo not over fillInstall the oil filler capldipstick and proceed to the following:OIL LEVEL CHECK PROCEDURE ON SHORE (page 4-13)LEVEL CHECK PROCEDURE ON CALM WATER (page 4-14) ENGINE DIPSTICK
