ALIGNMENT SHAFT
DRIVE SHAFT INSTALLATION
'04 model:
Insert the drive shaft into the bearing holder slowly, being careful not to damage the seals in the bearing holderInstall the shaft collar onto the drive shaftApply molybdenum disulfide grease to the splines of the driven coupler and install it onto the drive shaftApply engine oil to the threads of the coupler bolt and install it with the washer
DRIVEN COUPLER
Hold the rear hex portion of the driven coupler using 41mm wrenchAfter '04:
Tighten the coupler bolt to the specified torque by holding the coupler bossTORQUE: 49 Nm (5.0 kgfm, 36 lbfft) Insert the drive shaft into the bearing holder slowly, being careful not to damage the seals in the bearing holderInstall the shaft collar onto the drive shaftApply water resistant molybdenum disulfide grease to the splines of the driven coupler and install it onto the drive shaftApply engine oil to the threads of the coupler bolt and install it with the washerBOLT AND WASHER
