CYLINDER HEADVALVE
VALVE GUIDE REPLACEMENT
Mark new valve guides at the specified height indicated below, using markerChill new valve guides in freezer for about hourBe sure to wear heavy gloves to avoid burns when handling the heated cylinder head
Heat the cylinder head to 130 140!C (275 290!F) with hot plate or ovenUse temperature indicator sticks, available from welding supply stores, to be sure the cylinder head is heated to the proper temperature
Using torch to heat the cylinder head may cause warpageSupport the cylinder head and drive the valve guides out of the cylinder head from the combustion chamber sideTOOL: Valve guide driver, mm 07942-MA60000
VALVE GUIDE DRIVER Remove the guides from the freezerWhile the cylinder head is still heated, drive new valve guides into the cylinder head from the camshaft side until the exposed height is at the specified value (at the mark)TOOL: Valve guide driver, mm 07942-MA60000
