FUEL SYSTEM (Programmed Fuel Injection) DTC 25-1 (KNOCK SENSOR) Before starting the troubleshooting, check the knock sensor connector for loose contacts or corroded terminals, and recheck the DTC1Knock Sensor System Inspection Reset the diagnostic memory in the ECM (page 8-11)Start the engine and hold the engine speed above 2,500 rpm for 10 seconds or moreCheck the knock sensor with the HDSIs DTC 25-1 indicated? YES NO GO TO STEP Intermittent failure Loose or poorly connected knock sensor connector
2Knock Sensor Short Circuit Inspection Pull the safety lanyard clip off of the engine stop switchDisconnect the ECM 26P black connectorDisconnect the knock sensor 1P black connectorCheck for continuity between the knock sensor 1P connector terminal and groundIs there continuity? YES NO Short circuit in the Blue wire GO TO STEP 3
