FUEL SYSTEM (Programmed Fuel Injection) DTC (with HDS pocket tester) Remove the seats (page 3-4)Pull the safety lanyard clip off of the engine stop switchRemove the dummy connector from the data link connector (DLC)Connect the HDS Pocket Tester to the DLCFit the safety lanyard clip to the base of the engine stop switchRead the DTC and determine the cause of the problem (page 8-44)Also check the freeze data Refer to the user's manual of the HDS Pocket Tester for tester operationDLC DUMMY CONNECTOR
SELF-DIAGNOSTIC MEMORY RESET PROCEDURE
Procedure with SCS service connector 1Remove the seats (page 3-4)2Short the data link connector (DLC) terminals using special toolSCS service connector 070PZ-ZY30100 SCS SERVICE CONNECTOR
3Fit the safety lanyard clip to the base of the engine stop switch 4Remove the special tool from the DLC5The MIL and warning light lights about secondsWhile the MIL and warning light lights, connect the DLC terminals again with the special toolThe self-diagnostic memory is erased, if the MIL and warning light goes off and starts blinking The data link connector (DLC) must be jumped while the MIL and warning light lightsIf not, the MIL and warning light will not start blinking Note that the self-diagnostic memory cannot be erased if you pull the safety lanyard clip off of the engine stop switch before the MIL and warning light starts blinkingIf the MIL and warning light blinks 33 times, the diagnostic memory has not been erased
