FLUSHING AND STORAGE 5To prevent the cylinders from rusting, perform the following: Remove all the spark plugs (page 4-7) Disconnect all the injector connectors Pour tablespoon (15 20 cc) of clean engine oil into each cylinder through the spark plug holes and cover the spark plug holes with shop towelTo stop the warning beeper, press and hold any of the SET, MODE, ID SET and ID Nobuttons for seconds
PLUG HOLES
Fit the safety lanyard clip to the base of the engine stop switchPush the starter switch several times to crank the engine and distribute the oil Remove the safety lanyard clip6Spray water-displacement corrosion-proof lubricant (without Teflon or molybdenum additives, such as CRC 6-56 or an equivalent) into the throttle body (page 4-6)7Remove the battery (page 16-5)8Drain the fuel tank, using commercially available Fluid Evacuator9Remove the drain plugs, and clean the outside of the engine and bilgeRinse and drain thoroughlyUse shop towel to dry the vehicle and then spray water-displacement corrosion-proof lubricant (without Teflon or molybdenum additives, such as CRC 6-56 or an equivalent)
