Lower unit (F100C) Removing the water pump and shift rod
1Remove the water pump assembly and shift rod assembly 12Check the impeller 1, inner plate cartridge and insert plate cartridge for cracks or wearReplace if necessary

3Check the Woodruff key and the groove on the drive shaft for wearReplace if necessary

NOTE: Pull up the shift rod assembly little to disconnect it from the shift slider 2, turn it clockwise 90 b, and then remove it
