CYLINDER BLOCK Cleaning 1) Using gasket-scraper, remove gasket material from the cylinder-block surface thoroughly2) Using soft brush and solvent, clean the cyl inder-block
Inspection 1) Visually inspect the cylinder sleeves for cracks and scratchesIf any crack is found, replace the cylinder blockIf any scratche is found, check the degree of out-of-round, and then hone the cylinder or re-bore if necessary
2) Using cylinder-gauge, measure the bore at three positions in the thrust and axial directions
