Starter motor
Removing the starter motor
1Remove the starter motor from the power unitSee "Removing the starter motor" (7-29)
Checking the starter motor operation
1Connect the positive battery cable to the magnet switch terminal a, and then connect the negative battery cable to the starter motor body2Connect the starter motor Brown (Br) lead to the positive battery terminal, and then check the starter motor operationWARNING! Do not touch the starter motor pinion
3Connect the positive battery cable to the starter motor Brown (Br) lead c, and then check the magnet switch continuityNOTICE: Do not connect the starter motor Brown (Br) lead to the battery for more than second4Check that there is continuity between the magnet switch terminals and bReplace the magnet switch if out of specification
