Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting the power unit

NOTE: Before troubleshooting the outboard motor: Make sure that fresh fuel of the specified type has been used Make sure that the battery is fully charged Be sure to check that the couplers, connectors, and battery terminals are securely connected Check the CDI unit circuitTo check the CDI unit circuit, see "Checking the CDI unit" (8-25) Perform the troubleshooting as described in the following tables When checking the input voltage of part, the coupler or connector must be disconnectedHowever, be careful not to short-circuit the wiring harness
