Lower unit
Removing the lower unit
1Drain the gear oil
4Remove the locknut 2

NOTE: Be sure to remove the locknut from the shift rod before removing the lower unitS6AG6030
2Set the gear shift to the neutral position, place block of wood between the anticavitation plate and propeller to keep the propeller from turning, and then remove the propeller nut and propeller
5Remove the lower unit by removing the lower case mounting bolts 46Remove the trim tab 5, anode 6, and cooling water inlet covers
