Adjusting the throttle cable (tiller handle model)
1Disconnect the throttle link rod from the free accel lever2Loosen the locknuts and 3, and then turn the adjusting nuts and to loosen the throttle cables and 7
6Turn the throttle grip to the fully open and fully closed positions and check that the fully open stopper and fully closed stopper on the throttle cam contact throttle cam bracket as shownRepeat steps 25 if necessary

3Turn the throttle grip to the fully open position and hold it in place4Turn the adjusting nut so that the fully open stopper on the throttle cam contacts the throttle cam bracket as shown, and then tighten the locknut 2NOTE: Be careful not to pull the outer cables too much towards the power unit as they could be pulled out of the grommetIf the outer cables are pulled out of the grommet, see "Assembling the tiller handle" (7-3)5Turn the adjusting nut to remove the slack in the throttle cable 6, and then tighten the locknut 3S6AG3340
