Bracket unit 6Connect the PTT motor leads to the battery terminals to fully retract the tilt ram
Bleeding the power trim and tilt unit
1Tighten the manual valve by turning it clockwise
Ram Down Manual valve 1: Nm (0.2 kgfm, 1.5 ftlb)
PTT motor lead Light green (Lg) Sky blue (Sb)
Battery terminal-
7Reverse the PTT motor leads between the battery terminals to fully extend the tilt ram
2Place the power trim and tilt unit in an upright position3Remove the reservoir cap, and then check the fluid level in the reservoirNOTE: If the fluid is at the correct level, the fluid should overflow out of the filler hole when the reservoir cap is removed4If necessary, add sufficient fluid of the recommended type until it overflows out of the filler holeRecommended power trim and tilt fluid: ATF Dexron II 5Install the reservoir cap, and then tighten it to the specified torqueReservoir cap: Nm (0.7 kgfm, 5.2 ftlb)
