Charging system Checking the stator coil
1Remove the intake silencer and disconnect the stator coil coupler2Connect the test harness (3 pins) to the stator coil3Install the intake silencerStator coil resistance (use as reference): Green (G) Green (G) 0.240.41 at 20 (68 F) Greenwhite (GW) Greenwhite (GW) 0.210.30 at 20 (68 F)
CAUTION:
Do not start the engine when the intake silencer is not installed4Measure the stator coil output peak voltageReplace the stator coil if below specification
Checking the Rectifier Regulator
1Remove the intake silencer and disconnect the Rectifier Regulator coupler2Connect the test harness (2 pins) to the Rectifier Regulator3Install the intake silencer
CAUTION:
Do not start the engine when the intake silencer is not installed4Measure the Rectifier Regulator output peak voltageIf below specification, measure the stator coil output peak voltageReplace the Rectifier Regulator if the output peak voltage of the stator coil is above specificationS69J8470
