The throttle cable joint must be screwed in minimum of 8.0 mm (0.31 in) f8Connect the cable joint, install the clip, and then tighten the locknut9Check the throttle cable for smooth operation and adjust the cable length, if necessary, repeating steps 17

6Place the throttle cam against the fully closed stopper c, and check that there is minimum clearance of approximately 1.0 mm (0.04 in)1Check that the gearshift operates smoothly when shifting from neutral into forward or reverseAdjust the shift cable length if necessary2Set the gearshift to the neutral position3Loosen the locknut 1, remove the clip 2, and then disconnect the shift cable joint 3
