Periodic checks and adjustments
5Check the spark plug gap aAdjust if out of specification
Specified spark plug: LFR5A-11 (NGK) Spark plug gap a: 1.1 mm (0.043 in) 6Install the spark plug, tighten it finger tight b, then to the specified torque with spark plug wrench cS69J3220
2Place the lower unit in water, and then start the engine3Check for water flow at the cooling water pilot holeIf there is no water flow, check the cooling water passage inside the outboard motor
Spark plug: 25 Nm (2.5 kgfm, 18 ftlb)
