The following items should be checked before the "Trouble-analysis" chart is consulted1The battery is properly charged and its specific gravity is within specification2There are no incorrect wiring connections3Wiring connections are properly secured and are not rusty4The lanyard is attached to the engine stop switch5The shift position is in neutral6Fuel is reaching the carburetor7The rigging and engine settings are correct8The engine is free from any "Hull problem"
