Bearing and oil seals 1Propeller shaft bearing Install the bearing puller attachment on the slide hammer (YB-6169), install the puller in the bearing, and tighten the puller so the claws hold the inner race of the bearing; see the illustrationRemove the bearing with the slide hammer Clutch dog 1Remove the propeller shaft from the gear case cap2Remove the cross pin ring from the clutch dog using slotted-head screwdriverHold the shift plunger located at the end of the propeller shaft and, using punch, remove the cross pinThe clutch dog and spring can now be removed from the propeller shaft
