Determine cable length 1Having positioned the control box, measure the distance from the control box hub straight back to the corner of the transom and then across to the middle (centre) of the motoras shown by the illustration NOTE: _
Do not bend the cables into diameter smaller than the recommended 400 mm (16 in)2Check the cable length by running the cables through the selected path and holding them on the motorSwing and tilt the motor through its entire range making sure the cables neither bend nor buckle3If the cables are not the correct length, they must be exhanged for cables of the correct length
2Install the attachments for both shift and throttle cables on the bottom cowling
