9 Loosen the bolt and remove the gear from the control lever then remove the wave washer
Remove the neutral position plate from the control box
Loosen the bolt half turn, and by tapping on it with plastic-tip hammer, remove the control lever
Remove the retainer from the back cover, and remove the spring and detent roller from the back cover
Remove the shift lever arm from the control box
