OESCR IPTION There are two types of remote control units, one for engine operation and the other for steering the boatHere we discuss the remote control unit designed for engine operationFor information on the remote control unit for boat steering, refer to the boat maintenance manualThe remote control unit has control lever which can perform both gear shifting and throttle operationIn addition, it has free acceleration lever which is used to start the engineThe lever cannot be operated when the control lever is in any position other than neutralLikewise when the free acceleration lever is not in the idling position, the control lever cannot be operatedThe remote control cables connect the control box to the gear shift handle on the engine side and the magneto control leverTherefore, the cables must be connected correctly)Steering system After mounting the engine on boat, remove the caps from both right and left sides of the clamp bracket bolt, insert the steering guide shaft into the clamp bracket bolt (hollowed), and tighten the cap nutInstall the cap (with hole) on the opposite side to the cap nutConnect the steering gu ide shaft to the attachment on the steering bracket by the steering guide link
