ASSEMBLY Starter spring Hook the outer end of the starter spring onto the spring pin attached to the starter case, and put the spring into the starter case by winding it counterlockwiseNew starter springs come held in steel hoopTo install, hook the outer end onto the spring pin first, place into the startr case, and then remove the steel hoopApply Yamaha allpurpose grease, PIN LUB-GREAS-13-00, to the inner surface of the starter case Starter rope and sheave drum 1Make knot in the starter rope, leaving 25 to 30 mm (1.0 to 1.2 in portion of the rope end, and insert the end of the rope into the sheave drum2As shown, clamp the 25 30 mm (1.0 1.2 in) end of the ropeIt is necessary to reserve mm (0.2 in) portion out of the clampIf it is impossible, change the position of the knot
