Align the cut in the rear cover with the projection on the stator Mount the pinion, spring, and pinion stopper on the armature shaft6Using pliers, slightly open the clipHold the pin ion stopper with your hand, fit the clip in the clip groove in the armature shaftNext, tighten the clip using pliers3Mount the two washers on the armature
shaftSparingly apply anti-freeze grease (Yamaha all-purpose grease, PIN LUBGREAS-13-00l to the front cover bushing, make sure the O-ring fits to the armature shaft, and insert the shaft into the front coverInstall the stator in the front cover so that the projection on the stator aligns with the cut in the front coverNOTE The cut in which the projection fits is other than those located at the two bolt holes
