STARTING MOTOR WARNING:
To avoid dangers of an electric shock, be sure to disconnect the battery wires on the battery before removing the starter motorRemoval 1Disconnect the battery lead wires, both positive and negative, on the battery side2Disconnect the battery lead wires, both positive and negative on the starter motor and starter relay sideRemove the starter motor lead from starter motor
Disassembly 1Using slotted-head screwdriver, remove the pinion stopper, spring, and pinion, in that order
1 Clip Spring
2 Pinion stopper Pinion
Push the pinion stopper by hand toward the pinion, and remove the clip
