GEAR CASE REMOVAL
1Shift rod connecting nut 2Lock nu t
It is possible to remove the gear case from the upper case without removing powerhead 1Set the shift lever to reverse to shift into reverse gear
If shifting into reverse gear is difficult, try to shift while turning the drive shaft or propeller shaft clockwise for easy operation2Loosen the shift rod locknutSeparate lower and upper shift rod by moving the shift rod connecting nut upwardRemove the bolts (four) securing the upper casing and gear case, and remove the gear case
