TRIM AND TILT 9-15 20Connect the tiltltrim electrical harness, 21Release the tilt lock levers and lower the outboard 22Adjust the fluid level in the pump and bleed the hydraulic system 23Check tiltltrim system for proper operation Integral Pump
Using pin wrench or equivalent, loosen the cylinder cap2Unscrew the cylinder cap on each rod and carefully remove the rods from
the cylinders3Remove and discard the O-rings on the piston rod4Remove and discard the O-ring and oil seal on the cylinder cap# See accompanying illustration

CLEANINGINSPECTION
1Inspect the piston for damage or wear and replace as necessary, 2Inspect the manual valve for damage or wear and replace as necessary3Inspect and clean the pump filter for damage and replace as necessaryThe filter may be cleaned using compressed air4Inspect the bore for grooving or damage and replace as necessarypos't on an0 secure 't with [he 1ix

If the trimhilt system is inoperable, open the manual release valve and manually raise the outboardASSEMBLY
Lubricate the bore and piston with trimltilt fluid, 2Install new O-ring on the cylinder cap 3Install new O-ring on the piston rod4, Place the cylinder cap on the rod and insert the rod into the bore 5Using pin wrench or equivalent, tighten the cylinder cap securelyComplete diagnosis, testing and servicing procedures for the trimltilt switch are located in the "Remote Control'' section of this manualTESTING
