When only gears are replaced, shim adjustment should be made by comparing the values that are stamped on the gears1Pinion gear shim adjustmentWhen the actual dimension is larger than the standard dimension as shown in the illustration, the gear has "+ mm" mark on itOn the contrary, if smaller it has "- mm" markFor example, when the actual dimension is 0.2 mm longer, the pinion gear is marked "+0.2 mm"Accordingly, the thickness of the shim mounted is 1,O mm which is 0.2 mm thinner than the standard thickness of 1.2 mmFig3 Stamp mark location
