7-4 POWERHEAD 9Using flywheel holder, tighten the flywheel nut to 144.7-151.9 ftlbs(200-210 Nm)10Connect the stator wire leads to their proper connectionsIlnstall the starter pulley onto the flywheel12lnstall the recoil starter assembly13, Connect the battery negative battery cable14lnstall the engine cover+ See accompany in illustrations
Remove the engine cover2Remove the electrical junction box cover and disconnect the stator
leadsDT55, DT65, DT75 and DT85
If any difficulty IS experienced in removing the flywheel, tap the head of the bolt with hammer This will usually help in the removal operation Remove the key from the crankshaft keyway To install: 10 lnstall the key securely into the crankshaft keyway I1 lnstall the flvwheel onto the crankshaft 12, Using flywheel holder, tighten the flywheel nut to ftlbs(80-90 Nm) 13, lnstall the starter motor back onto the engine and securely tighten the bolts (if equipped)14, Reconnect the starterlbattery cables and reconnect the neutral safety switch lead wire15, lnstall the recoil starter assembly (if equipped) 16Connect the stator wires making sure all connections are free from corrosion and are securely fastened17, Install the engine cover DT20, DT25 and DT30
