The cause of malfunctioning thermostat is often foreign matter stuck to the valve seatInspect the thermostat to make sure it is clean and free of foreign
matterIf necessary, test the removed thermostat for operation by immersing it in pot filled with water1With piece of string pinched by the valve, suspend the thermostat in pot in such way that the thermostat floats above the bottom of the pot2Raise the water temperature3If the valve onens (the thermostat releases the strina and drons to the bottom of the pot) at the temperature specified on the thehostat, the thermostat is functioning correctly4If the valve does not open (the thermostat remains hanging) at the temperature specified on the thermostat, the thermostat is faulty and should be replacedLOW OIL LEVEL
