float level inspection and adjustment are very important parts of an engine tune-upThe float level setting is correct when the "float height" is set to the proper specification1Install the float and hinge pin into the carburetor body2Invert the carburetor body, making sure that the float hinge pin doesn't fall out3Keeping the float arm free, measure the distance between the carburetor body (with the gasket removed) to the bottom of the floatCorrect float height is: 0.91-0.98 in(23.0-25.0 mm)4Turn in the pilot (idle) screw, counting the turns in (for reassembly later) until it lightly seats5Install the pilot (idle) jet with the proper tool6Install the main jetUse jet removal tool or wide blade screwdriver7Install the inlet needle8Install the float bowl and new O-ring onto the carburetor body9Install the fuel pump onto the carburetor body i
