MAXIMUM ADVANCE SIDE the arrow mark (V) so as to contact the throttle cam (2) and tighten the screw (10) at this conditionMAXIMUM RETARD SIDE 1Place shift lever into the Forward 1st notch2Align the mark (B) on the magneto stator and the cylinder-tocrankcase fitting surface (C) with each otherTurn the adjust bolt (5) so that the adiust bolt cap (4) contacts the crankcase-side stopper (D), and fix it by the nut (6)3Move the throttle limiter (1) toward the direction (W) until hitting against the undercover-side stopper (F) and check to see whether the carburetor can be fully opened at this condition4If the carburetor cannot be fully opened, adjust the rod (7) for the proper length and fix it by the nut (8)The rod (7) should have standard length of 4.25 in(108 mm)5Adjust the throttle cable so that the stator can be fully opened and closed (DT40ClDT40GE)ISee accompanying illustration
