3-22 MAINTENANCE THROTTLE LINKAGE ADJUSTMENT

1Loosen the throttle lever adjusting screws on the top and 3rd carburetorsThen turn the plates counterclockwise to ensure full they're at the full closed throttle positionHold the plates and tighten the screws2Adjust the lever link rod to an initial length of 3.0 in(75.5 mm) between the center holes in each connector3At the full closed throttle position, the throttle lever arm must be against the stop boss on the block and clearance of 0.02-0.06 in(0.5-1.5 mm) must exist at this pointIf the clearance is not correct, recheck the carburetor throttle valves and make sure that they are in the full closed position and recheck the throttle rod lengthReadjust if necessary4Check the synchronization of all three carburetors to make sure they fully open and close
