1Mount the engine in test tank or move the boat to body of water2Remove the cowling and connect tachometer to the powerhead3Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temperature4Check idle speed and compare it with the specified idle speed in the "Tune-up pecifications" chart' 5If adjustment is necessary, rotate the idle adjustment screw on the carburetor until the powerhead idles at the required rpm5Ignition timing is about: 7'BTDC at 1000 rpm and 24-25'BTDC at 5000 rpmFor more details, please refer to the Tune-up Specifications chart6Timing cannot be adjustedIf timing is incorrect, fault has occurred in the CDI system and test of the CDI unit needs to be performedIDLE SPEED
