I Out-of-round and taper (uneven wear) of journals An unevenly worn crankshaft journal shows up as difference in diameter at cross section or along its length (or both)This difference, if any, is determined by taking micrometer readingsIf any journal is badly damaged or if measurements exceed service limit, replace crankshaft 09900-20203: Micrometer Out-of-round: Taper :ab Out-of-round and taper Service limit: 0.01 mm (0.0004 in) Crankshaft journal outside diameter Standard: 64.988 65.006 mm (2.5586 2.5593 in) CRANKSHAFT MAIN BEARING Check bearings for pitting, scratches, wear or damageIf any improper condition is found, replace both upper and lower halvesAlways replace both bearing halves, never replace only one half of bearing set
