INSTALLATION Installation is reverse order of removal with special attention to the following steps Install starter motor and tighten starter motor mounting bolts securely' Starter motor mounting bolt: 23 Nm (2.3 kg-m, 16.5 lb-ft) DISASSEMBLY When overhauling starting motor, it is recommended that component parts be cleaned thoroughlyHowever, the yoke assembly, armature coil, over-running clutch assembly, magnetic switch assembly, and rubber or plastic parts should not be washed in degreasing tank or with grease dissolving solventThese parts should be cleaned with compressed air or wiped with clean clothNOTE: Before disassembling starting motor, be sure to put match marks at three locations (A, and C) as shown in figure at right to avoid any possible component alignment mistakesC B
