Suzuki DT35 (After 1986)DT40 (After 1983) uf 0.2 mm (0.008 in from seat areaRefer to FigSZI3-6Do not attempt tu bend or stnLighten damaged reedOpening between tip reed stup (4) and reed plate should be 7.6-8.0 mm (030032 in on models plioI' to HJ87 and 6.06.4 mm (0.24-0.25 in on models after 1986When reassembling reed valve assembly, apply Suzuki Thread Lock 1:342 or suitable equivalent thread locking compound to threads of reed attaching screws (4)SPEED CONTROL LINKAGE_ Throt.tIe opening and ignition timing advance must be synchronized fur proper operation To adjust speed control linkage and ignition timing, as fullows: With engine not running, shift outboard into forward gearLoosen throttle cam screws (IO-FigS21:3-8) and open throttle until stator mark located at (A) is aligned with crankcase and cylinder bluck mating surfaces (6)Note that hole is provided in f1ywheel to access screws (10)With mark (A) aligned with trankcase mating surfaces, slide throttle cam (I) against crankcase stopper (2) and retighten screws (10)Without disturbing position of stator (:3), loosen screw (13-FigSZI3-8)Rotate carburetor throttle arm (14) so throttle valve is fully open, then hold cam roller (II) against throttle tarn (1) and retighten screw (1:3)Nextwith engine not running, place outboard into forward gearRotate stator so mark (B-FigS213-8) is aligned with crankcase-to-cylinder block mating surface (6)Loosen nut (8) and turn s:rew (!J) so cap (7) contacts stopper (4), then retighten nut (8)Rotate throttle limiter (l7-FigSZI3-9) against stopper (18) and adjust the length of rod (16) so carburetor throttle valve is completely openthen retighten nut (15)
