FUEL SYSTEM

A small amount of fuel may be released when the fuel feed hose is disconnectedPlace container under the fuel feed hose with shop cloth so that released fuel is caught in container or absorbed in clothPlace fuel soaked cloth in an approved container
6Squeeze the fuel primer bulb until you feel resistanceTurn the ignition switch "ON" for seconds (to operate the fuel pump), then turn it "OFF"Repeat this ("ON" and "OFF") procedure or times to pressurize the fuel system and then check the fuel pressure7Measure the fuel pressure in line at cranking or idle speed operationFuel pressure: Approx255 kPa (2.55 kgcm2, 36.3 psi) 8Stop the engine and wait minutes9Read residual fuel pressure in lineResidual fuel pressure: 200 kPa (2.0 kgcm2, 28.4 psi) or higher As the fuel feed line is still under high fuel pressure, make sure to release fuel pressure according to the following procedures Place container under the joint to catch fuel Cover the joint with rag and loosen the joint nut slowly to gradually release fuel pressure10After measuring the fuel pressure, remove the fuel pressure gauge11Reconnect the fuel line12With the engine not running and the ignition switch "ON", check the fuel system for leaks
