6-38 POWER UNIT CYLINDER HEAD TO CYLINDER 1Install the two dowel pins and the gasket to the cylinder block2Install the two push rods onto the end of the tappets in the cylinder blockNOTE: Before installing the cylinder head, make sure that the piston is at the TDC position on compression stroke3Install the cylinder head to the cylinder block4Apply engine oil lightly to the cylinder head bolts5Tighten the bolts to 50 percent () of the specified torque according to the numerical order in the figureCylinder head bolt (50 torque)1st step 14 N.m (1.4 kg-m, 10.0 lb-ft) 6Loosen the all bolts to N.m (0 kg-m, lb-ft) according to the reverse order(2nd step) 7Finally tighten the bolts to the specified torque in two steps according to the numerical order in the figureCylinder head bolt3rd step 14 N.m (1.4 kg-m, 10.0 lb-ft) Final step 28 N.m (2.8 kg-m, 20.5 lb-ft)
