Suzuki DT9.9DT15 (1983-1987)DT15C (1988) OUTBOARD MOTOR fuel pump assembly and stator plate with battery charge coil and primary coilRemove six screws securing power head to drive shaft housing and lift off power headTo remove power head on Model DTI5C, disconnect battery, remove rewind starter and electric parts holder coverDisconnect any wires or hoses that interfere with power head removalRemove electric parts holder and oil tankRemove carburetor, disconnect throttle cables and remove idle speed adjustment knobRemove six bolts securing power head to lower unit and lift off power headBefore reinstalling power head on all models, make certain drive shaft splines are clean, then coat splines with suitable water-resistant greaseApply coat of silicone sealant to mating surfaces of power head and drive shaft housingRenew power head-to-drive shaft housing gasketCoat threads of power head retaining screws with silicone sealant and tighten screws to 15-20 N'm (11-15 ftIbsComplete remainder of installation by reversing removal procedureRefer to SPEED CONTROL LINKAGE for synchronizing throttle opening with ignition advanceTo disassemble power head on Models DT9.9 and DTl5, remove electric starter bracket, intake manifold, reed valve plate, exhaust cover, exhaust plate and gasket and cylinder headRemove ten crankcase cap screws, then separate crankcase from cylinder blockLift crankshaft assembly with pistons and connecting rod assemblies from cylinder blockTo disassemble power head on Model DT 15C, remove exhaust tube and oil seal housingRemove CD! unit, starter motorthrottle control components, neutral SWitch, ignition coils and oil
