Suzuki DT9.90115 (1983-1987)DT15C (1988) nition circuitUsing Suzuki pocket tester 09900-25002 or suitable ohmmeter, refer to the following test specifications and procedures to aid trouble-shootingTo check secondary coil resistance of cm unit, detach spark plug wires at spark plugsConnect tester lead to terminal end of each spark plug wireSecondary coil resistance should be 2000-3000 ohms at 20 (68 F)Check condition of primary coil by separating connector between primary coil and cm unitRefer to FigSZ6-9Connect tester lead to primary coil black wire (B) and gree wire (G)Primary coil resistance should be 240-306 ohms at 20 (68 F)Check condition of battery charge coil by separating yellow wire (Y) and red wire (R) at magneto and connect tester lead to each wireBattery charge coil resistance should be 0.18-0.26 ohm at 20 (68 F) on early models (prior to 1987) and 0.1-0.4 ohms at 20 (68 F) on later models
