CRANK POSITION SENSOR ADJUSTMENT (2000 ONLY)
The crank position sensor (CPS) supplies the ECM with crank position information and engine speedIf the sensor should fail or is adjusted incorrectly the engine will stop running1Remove flywheel cover2Use feeler gauge to measure the air gap between the crank position sensor and tooth on the flywheelIt should be 0.51 mm1.53 mm (0.020 in0.060 inIf not, loosen the bracket screws, set the gap to specification, and retighten the screws to 12 Nm (105 lbinIMPORTANT: Crank position sensor must be perpendicular to flywheel tooth3Reinstall flywheel cover
