Steering Cable and Steering link Rod Installation Refer to "Qu icksilver Accesories Guide" to determine correct length of steering cable and remote control cables
AWARNING
Steering link rod MUST BE secured between utboard steering arm and steering cable end, sing special washer head bolt (PI 10-14000) and two nylon In sert locknuts (PI 11-34863), as shownBoth special wa sher head bolt and nylon insert locknu ts MUST BE tightened as specifiedLubricate hole in end of steering cable, with Qu icksilver 2-4-C Marine LubricantAssemble steering link rod to steeri ng cable endusing flat washers and nylon insert lockn ut Tig hten lock nut until it seats [DO NOT exceed 120 lbin(13.6 Nm) of torque) then back nut off 1 turn Lubricate ba ll joint in steeri ng link rod with SAE 30W Motor OilSecure link rod to outboard steering armusing special washer head bolt (PI 10-14000) provided and nylon insert lock nut as shownTorque specia bolt to 20 lb ft(27 .1 Nm)then torque locknut to 20 lb ft (27 .1 Nm)
IMPORTANT: Steering cable and remote control cables must be the correct lengthsharp bends on
