Locate Center Line of Boat Transom Locale (and mark with pencil) vertical centerline (a) of boat transomas shown
Secu re (tape) "Outboard Mounting Template" (located in center of this instruction manual) to outside of boat transom, Align verti cal center line of template with center line of transom and top of transom line on template with top of (realboat transomnot shim(s)Use 17 32 in (13.Smm) diameter drill bit and drill the two uppe mounting holes perpendicular to the thru transom at marked hole centers on template
Lifting Outboard
WARNING
NOTE: Dimensions "Au" 8" and "C"" D" are Equal Length Make sure that lifting eye Is threaded Into flywheel minimum of turns and that holst has minimum 11ft capacity 01 at least 750 Ibs(340 kg) BEFORE lilting outboardRemove cowling from outboard and plastic cap from center of flywheelThread lifting eye into flywheel hub minimum of turns Replace plastic cap after outboard installation Connect hoist (minimum lift capacity of 750 Ibs(340 kg)] to lifting eyeLift outboard and place on boat transom
