Armature Tests
Testing for Shorts: Check armature on Growler (follow Growler manufactu rer's test in structi ons)Indication of sho rt requires replacement of armatureTest for Ground: Use an Ohmmeter (Rx1 scale) Place one lead of Oh mm eter on armature shaft and other lead on commutator, as shown If continuity is indicated, armature is grounded and must be replaced
