2Place Drive Shaft Holding Tool (91 -1 2362) over drive shaft splines3Use socket and flex handle to hold pinion nut(Pad area of gear housing, where flex handle will make contact, to prevent damage to gear housing 4Use socket and flex handle on Drive Shaft Holding Tool to loosen pinion nutRemove pin ion nut, washer (located above nut) and Dri ve Shaft Hold ing Tool5Remove drive shaft from gea housing using either method "a" or "b" following: aInstall Drive Shaft Removal Tool (91-92785A1) on drive shaftHit tool with hammer to remove shaft from housing ACAUTION
DO NOT strike gear housing hard with the mallet or allow gear housing to fall
