7Using water pump retaining bolts and screwdrivers, lift seal carrier up and off drive shaft8Remove (and discard) O-ring and oi seal from seal carrier Bearing Carrier and Propeller Shaft

Gear housing MUST BE in neutral position, and shift shaft MUST BE removed from gear housing before propeller shaft can be removed from gear housing_ 1Place gear housing in suitable holding fixtu re or vise ith propeller shaft in horizontal position 2Use Shift Shaft Bushing Tool (C-91-31107) to unthread shift shaft bush ing(DO NOT remove bushing from shift shaft at this time
