Stator Assembly Removal
1Remove flywheel, as outlined in "Flywheel Removal and Installation", preceding2Remove screws which secure stator to the upper end cap
1Place drop of Loctite (27 1) GradeA" on threads of stator attaching screws (4 required) Install stator assembly in position on cylinder blockand secure with attaching sc rews and lockwashe rsTo rque screws to 150 lbin(16.9 Nm) 2Route slat or wiring harness as shown3Reconnect wires to proper terminals of rectifier and switch boxes Reconnect ground lead (ifequipped) to ground Referto wiring diagram, following in this sectionWires with yell ow identification sleeve must be connected to lower switch box
