MERCURY (TILT) STOP SWITCH TEST
IGNITION (KEY) SWITCH TEST (COMMA NDER )
1Remove mounting screw that secures mercury switch and black ground wire to engine2Connect an ohmmeter (A scale) between black (mercury switch) lead and mercury switch stud 3Test mercury switch as follows: aPosition mercury switch as it would be installed when engine is in "down" position The meter should indicate no cont inuitybTilt mercury switch up, and tap end switch with fingerThe meter shou ld ind icate continui ty
1Disconnect remote control wiring harness and instrument panel connectorNOTE: Refer to wiring diagram atend of this section for correct identification of connector terminals2Set ohmmeter on scale for the following tests :
