Trim Indicator Gauge Needle Adjustment 1Turn igni tion key to "RU N" position 2T ilt outboard to full in down position Need le of trim ind icator gauge should be at fullIN"" DOWNposition3If not, tilt utboard to full outup position to gain access to trim sender and engage tilt lock lever
1C lean entire unit thoroughly, inc luding all accessible powerhead parts 2Check entire un it for loose, damaged or missing partsTighten or replace as requ ired3Lubricate gear housing as inst ructed previously4Lubricate other points as indicated, preceding SLubricate starter motor shaft with light film of SAE No10 oi lDo not over-lubricate6Service spark plugsIn spect spark plug leads and electrical leads for damage or deterioration, as explained inElectricalsection7In spect fuel lines for damage or deterioration and service fuel filter as indicated in Section 38Remove propeller and inspectTrim nicks and burrs with fi le, being careful not to remove more metal than absol utely necessaryInspect for cracksda mage or bent conditionIf condition is doubtfulrefer to authorized Quicksilver Propeller Repai Station fac ilitiesBefore reinstalling propeller, coat propeller shaft with Quicksilver Special Lubricant 1012-4-C Marine Lubri cant9In spect the engine surface finish for damage or corrosionThorough ly clean damaged or corroded areas and apply matching paint (Quicksilver Spray Paints)10Check zi nc trim tab and zi nc plate (bolted to bottom of transom brackets) for damage or for deteriorati on from salt water operation
